Prior investigation\nruled out rambutan's own Tokio runtime lifecycle (three separate fixes\ntried, none changed the symptom), pointing at aws-lc-rs -- the crypto\nbackend rustls picks up via reqwest's default `rustls` feature -- as the\nlikely culprit on the less-common windows-gnu target.\n\nreqwest only falls back to aws-lc-rs when no process-wide\nCryptoProvider::get_default() is already set (confirmed by reading its\nsource). This installs rustls's `ring` provider before the first\nreqwest::Client is ever built, so aws-lc-rs's code stays compiled in\n(via feature unification with other deps) but is never exercised at\nruntime -- an experiment to isolate whether the crypto backend, not our\nown async code, is the source of the crash.\n\nAdds a temporary debug-windows-exit.yaml (same pattern used in the\noriginal investigation) for fast iteration instead of a full 20-40min\nR CMD check per attempt.\n\nCo-authored-by: Claude Sonnet 5 \n\n* Bump debug-windows-exit timeout to cover a cold cargo cache\n\nFirst run confirmed the fix: the R subprocess exited cleanly (step\nconclusion \"success\") after a passing check_url() call -- no more\nSTATUS_STACK_BUFFER_OVERRUN. The only cancellation was the rust-cache\npost-job save step getting cut off by the 10-minute job timeout during\na cold build of the full dependency tree (~7 min alone).
